It's so hot, my toe hairs are curling.

According to earth.org and World Meteorological Association:

Global average temperatures reached unprecedented highs over the last decade, increasing at an accelerated rate of about 0.35°C per decade - nearly double the historical pace. The period ranks as the warmest on record, with the planet now roughly 1.4°C hotter than pre-industrial levels. 

Key worldwide climate statistics over the past 10 years include:

Temperature: The past 11 years comprise the warmest on record, bringing the world dangerously close to the 1.5°C warming limit established in the Paris Agreement. 
Emissions: Annual global carbon dioxide emissions reached a record high of approximately 37 billion tons, with China and the United States together accounting for 46% of the world's total.
Ice Loss: Glacier and ice sheet mass losses are accelerating, with eight of the ten years of largest recorded glacier ice loss occurring since 2016. 
Sea Levels: Ocean warming has contributed to sea-level rise rates that are nearly double those recorded in the early 1990s. 
Ocean Temperatures: Ocean warming has more than doubled compared to previous decades, resulting in an increased frequency and intensity of marine heatwaves.

Land Average Temperature in 2025

On land, 2025 was the 2nd warmest year directly observed, reaching 2.03 °C / 3.66 °F above the 1850 to 1900 average. This is the third year with a land-average of more than 2.0 °C.

Ocean Average Temperature in 2025

On the ocean’s surface, 2025 was the 3rd warmest year directly observed, reaching 1.03 °C / 1.86 °F. This is the third year with a ocean-average above 1.0 °C, though noticeably cooler than 2023 or 2024.

Berkeley Earth’s data for the oceans is adapted from the UK Hadley Centre’s HadSST4 data product after interpolation.

Astonishing and horrifying information, wouldn't you say? I don't think there's ever been more solid proof that climate change is happening, and that climate change can be attributed to our abuse of the environment, our world, our Earth. We can do better!
